GREENBRIER, TN (WSMV) -

A man's body was found in an outbuilding destroyed by a fire in Greenbrier on Friday morning.

The fire department was called to 1407 Nunley St. just after 1:22 a.m. and was able to get the fire under control by 2 a.m.

Officials say human remains were found in one of the two sheds that caught fire.

Family members say they believe 55-year-old Don Starks died in the fire.

They say Starks worked in the sheds and neighbors heard him out there overnight.

"He was fine last night; the only thing we know of is that he goes and comes when he wants to out there and that the neighbors heard him out there and then they heard a big bang. We know there's gasoline out there, he had a propane tank out there," said Starks' sister Becky Smith.

Starks lived in a home on the property with his mother and sister.

Officials have not confirmed the identity of the body.

The State Fire Marshal's Office arson investigators are working to figure out the cause of the fire.
