The National Weather Service confirms that an EF2 tornado with winds of 111–135 mph touched down Wednesday afternoon in Christian County.

The storm assessment team also determined a microburst with winds estimated at 120 mph hit Christian County.

Emergency management officials reported minor damage to homes and businesses in the northern part of the county.

The storms were part of a large system that left damage in many areas of Middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky.

Other damage was reported in Nashville, where a large tree fell onto a Lebanon Pike preschool. No injuries were reported at Rhythm & Rhymes Too, and the children were safely evacuated from the building.
