Police looking for suspect in Nashville bank robbery

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The Metro Police Department and the FBI's Violent Crimes Task Force are looking for the suspect in a bank robbery.

Police say the woman went into the SunTrust Bank on Murfreesboro Pike around 9:15 a.m. Friday and gave the teller a note that said she would shoot if cash wasn't handed over.

The teller handed the woman the money, and the woman left the bank.

Officials say a gun was not seen during the robbery.

The suspect is a black female and was wearing white pants, a dark top and sunglasses at the time of the robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
