DURHAM, N.C. -

Durham police is asking for the public’s help in locating a Creedmoor man wanted in connection with a Feb. 26 murder in Durham.

Investigators are looking for 23-year-old Arsenio Jarmal Lamberth. He is charged with murder in the Feb. 26 death of Kourtney Krista Dawson. Dawson was killed on Holloway Street near North Guthrie Avenue.

Police arrested Lamberth’s brother, 21-year old Dominique Zavier Lamberth, in March in Louisburg in connection with Dawson’s murder.

On the night of Feb. 26, officers responded to a “shots fired” call around 9:17 p.m. When they arrived, they found Dawson lying on the sidewalk near the intersection.

An investigation revealed the Lamberths tried to rob a man of $20 at gunpoint and fired shots at his vehicle. One of the shots hit Dawson as she was walking on Holloway Street.

The brothers are charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

Dominique Lamberth has been placed in Durham County Jail without bond.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Arsenio Lamberth is asked to call Investigator J. Barr at (919) 560-4440, ext. 29325 or CrimeStoppers at (919) 683-1200.
