The name has been released of the driver who died in a crash on westbound Interstate 40 in Dickson County.
The wreck happened just west of Highway 96 around 11:30 p.m. Monday.
Officials say 23-year-old Anastasia Sloan lost control of her vehicle, hit a guardrail and was thrown out of the SUV.
Sloan died at the scene.
According to the THP report, Sloan was not wearing a seatbelt and that a safety restraint would have made a difference.
Alcohol and drug tests have been requested.
