Cumberland County Sheriff’s Detectives are working to find a man wanted for breaking into a local couple’s home and stealing their credit card as well as some personal items.

On Friday, April 11, the man entered their home in the Vander community through a window that had been broken to gain access.

The man stole jewelry, a handgun and credit card valued at over $1,500.

A couple of hours later, surveillance video showed the suspect attempting to withdraw money from an automatic teller machine using the stolen credit card. He was unsuccessful.

He is described as a black male, of average height. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and faded blue jeans. He is also a smoker, as he is seen holding a cigarette in his right hand in the photo taken at the bank.

If you can identify this person, please contact the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at (910) 323-1500 or dial 911 for immediate assistance.
