Posted: Updated:

Police in Gallatin have issued a warning to the public after receiving several reports about a phone scam.

Gallatin residents have reported receiving calls asking them to get a Green Dot card worth between $200 or $250 to pay for a utility-related service.

Police say the person behind the scam is operating from the Dominican Republic.

Residents are asked to be wary of phone calls like these and to report any suspicious phone calls to police.
