2 large bananas
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 lb. bittersweet chocolate bits
1 teaspoon espresso
1/2 cup heavy cream
Cut bananas into three sections. Half each section lengthwise. Heat butter in a medium skillet. Add sugar. When sizzling add banana pieces cut side down. Let sizzle on medium heat until they caramelize and turn a light brown. Turn over bananas and let them cook a bit on the other side. Then remove to a plate and drizzle a bit of the buttery sauce on top.
In small saucepan heat the chocolate chips and cream. Add espresso powder. Stir as chocolate melts until you have a smooth sauce. Drizzle over bananas.
