NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A convicted robber has been arrested in connection to a hold-up at a pharmacy in East Nashville.

The robbery happened at the Rite Aid on Gallatin Avenue on Wednesday morning.

The clerk says a man walked up to the counter and acted like he was going to buy something when he jumped over the counter and held a knife to his throat and took cash from the register.

The clerk was able to give police a description of the suspect, and an officer spotted a man matching that description nearby.

The man, later identified as 22-year-old Justin Conyers, was arrested on Douglas Avenue.

Conyers is charged with aggravated robbery and is being held on a $100,000 bond.

He was sentenced to eight years of imprisonment after being convicted in 2011 of two robberies in East Nashville.
