A Brentwood woman is in big trouble for allegedly hosting a party where police say dozens of teenagers were drinking.

Brentwood police cited 26 people, 23 of whom were minors, Saturday night on Shady Place.

"We got a call from someone in the area who said there was a party going on. There were a large number of vehicles. There were people outside consuming alcohol that could be seen," said Brentwood Assistant Police Chief Tommy Walsh.

Officers say when they got to the scene, teens began to scramble around the yard and eventually ran into the house, locking the door behind them. But the one thing they didn't do was stop drinking.

"One of the things that separates this incident is that the suspects continued to drink while our officers were at the scene. Obviously, we're not going to continue to allow that to continue," Walsh said.

Walsh stops short of saying there's a problem with underage drinking in Brentwood, but said he hopes parents realize how serious police are about it.

"Common sense should tell you that you should never allow underage people to drink alcohol in your home. It's a recipe for disaster," Walsh said.

Krista Cole lives at that home on Shady Place. For now, she's charged with one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, which is a misdemeanor, but additional charges will likely be filed.
