TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Northwest Fire District crews responded to a two-story house fire Thursday on Tucson's west side.

The fire started on the first floor at a home in the 4600 block of W. Crestview Circle and spread to the second floor where smoke and flames were visible, NWFD Capt. Adam Goldberg said.

Crews rescued a woman from the second floor balcony and was being treated by paramedics. They said a man in the home was able to escape on his own without injury.

The fire has been controlled, Goldberg said.
