AIMEE FORTNEY'S TRAIL MIX CEREAL BARS
I lightened up my Great Aunt Earlene's recipe to make these healthier!
Place the cereal, ground flax seeds, cranberries and chocolate chips in a large bowl. Heat honey in a small sauce pot (spray measuring cups with cooking spray to measure honey and peanut butter), then add the peanut butter. Stir well until melted together, then remove from heat.
Add vanilla, then pour the honey mixture over the cereal mixture. Mix well with a spatula, then press into a lightly greased 8x8 pan. Allow to firm up at room temperature, then cut into bars. Wrap in plastic wrap and enjoy!
