BRADLEY COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -

A Knoxville woman was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition after a wreck in Bradley County.

Officials say Chardai Mcgown was weaving in her Ford Taurus on I75 when she struck a Chevy van in the back, causing her to spin out and crash down an embankment near mile marker 33.

McGown was pinned in the wreckage and emergency responders had to extricate her from the car.

She was airlifted to Erlanger in critical condition.

The two passengers in the other car were not injured. A third vehicle was hit by flying debris but the driver was not injured.

McGown faces charges of DUI, simple possession of marijuana, possession of xanax, reckless driving, due care, texting while driving, insurance and registration violation.
