Police make arrest after complaints about drugs at Nashville home

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Neighbors' complaints to police about drug use at a Nashville home resulted in an arrest Thursday night.

When police searched the home on the 1900 block of Porter Road, they say they found crack cocaine, marijuana and a loaded gun.

Police say one of the residents, 26-year-old Marvell Thomas, is a registered sex offender and had warrants out for his arrest.

According to police, Thomas was in violation of sex offender laws because he failed to register with the state this year, didn't tell them that he moved and didn't pay required fees.

Thomas was convicted in 2005 on a sexual battery charge.
