Aaron Gordon led the Wildcats with a career-high 23 points, and Nick Johnson threw in 20 of his own, as Arizona cruised to its biggest win since Brandon Ashley's injury, 88-61.
Colorado (20-8 overall, 9-6 in the Pac-12) went 0-14 to start the game as Arizona opened up a 29-5 lead. The Buffaloes ended the first 20 minutes going 6 of 27 which was good for a 22% field goal percentage, led by Josh Scott with 10 points. Colorado took bad shot after bad shot but managed to cut Arizona's lead to six at the half. Scott led Colorado with 18 points in the game.
Despite shooting only 53 percent from the free throw line, Arizona (25-2, 12-2 in the Pac-12) shot 60 percent from the field and 47 percent from three-point territory. Many of Arizona's shots were highlight dunks from Gordon and Kaleb Tarczewski, who finished with 13 points. It was Arizona's first win in Boulder, Colo., since 1973.
