Congresswoman Blackburn debates Bill Nye on climate change

WASHINGTON, DC (WSMV) -

Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn appeared on Meet the Press on Sunday morning, to debate scientist Bill Nye on the government's response to climate change.

Blackburn, who called climate science "unproven," said there is no census on the issue in the scientific community, and the government can't make good laws if they're being made on hypotheses or theories.

Her opponent, Bill Nye the Science Guy, said that's just not true. He went on to say that now isn't the time to deny that climate change is happening, and that the U.S. needs to lead the world on combating the issue.
