NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Four Nashville businesses were raided Monday afternoon as Metro police investigate alleged prostitution and possible human trafficking.
One of the locations is Golden Massage, at 2109 Abbott Martin Road in Green Hills.
Other locations raided were Daily Massage on North Gallatin Pike, ABC Massage on Franklin Pike and Acupressure Treatment Center on 4th Ave South.
Investigators say they had a series of complaints involving the businesses in recent months, so they had undercover officers collect evidence.
At each of the businesses, police say workers went too far with some customers, offering sexual services for a fee.
Police also want to know if this could be a case of human trafficking. A new Tennessee law gives prosecutors more power to go after the owners.
"You don't necessarily have to have a victim for commercial trafficking - a commercial sex act. If we find that there's proof someone is making profit off of sexual acts occurring, they can be charged with that crime," said assistant district attorney Antoinette Welch.
A total of 10 women were arrested Monday. Three were charged with felonies of promoting prostitution and trafficking for commercial sex. The other seven face misdemeanor prostitution charges.
