A Mt. Juliet man has died after a two-vehicle crash Monday evening east of downtown Nashville.

The crash was reported about 5 p.m. along Murfreesboro Pike near Foster Avenue.

Police said Thomas Finn, 47, of Mt. Juliet, was driving a 2004 Dodge Caravan when his vehicle struck the rear of a Pontiac G6 that was stopped for a red light at the intersection.

Finn and the driver of the Pontiac, 23-year-old Hillary Fink, of Kansas City, MO, were both transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where Finn died.
