1 box of puff pastry, thawed
1 roll of chocolate chip cookie dough
1 teaspoon water
Preheat your oven to 350. Roll puff pastry out on a floured surface, then cut one sheet into four squares. Place 1 "slice" (as you would for a cookie) in the center of each square. Fold the square from one corner to the other, to make a triangle. Seal the edges completely, then place on your cookie sheet. Repeat with the other squares. For the other sheet, you can use a heart shaped cookie cutter, or any design that you like; or stick with triangles. If using a smaller cookie cutter, place a smaller amount of cookie dough in the center, then place another heart shape (or any design that you are using; but use the same) pastry on top, pressing the edges together, to seal. Beat together the egg and water, then brush the egg wash on top of the pastry.
Bake for 28-30 minutes, then enjoy! If desired, you can sprinkle powdered sugar on top. You can also use brownies and chocolate chips for fillings. If using brownies, just slightly under-bake your brownies, then place in the center of the pastry, in place of the cookie dough.
