Nashville high school receives threatening phone call

Posted: Updated:
NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Metro high school was placed on lockdown Tuesday morning after officials say the school received a threatening phone call.

Metro police and school security officers say someone called Hillwood Comprehensive High School on Davidson Road about 11:25 a.m. and said there was a man in the gym with a really big gun.

The school was immediately placed on lock down as a precaution.

Police and school security checked the school and found nothing suspicious.

Police say they also got calls from someone using racial slurs, who claimed he was going to blow up the school.

Officers say none of the threats were credible.
