NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Metro Nashville schools are planning to lift a ban on social media as the system plans a new "digital literacy curriculum" next year that includes all subjects and grade levels. Twitter and YouTube won't be blocked much longer, but Facebook and Instagram still will be.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Country Music Hall of Fame singer Mel Tillis is recovering in Nashville after heart surgery over the weekend. According to a statement from his daughter, Pam Tillis, the 81-year-old singer required a "routine heart procedure," but is expected to make a full recovery.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - For the second time this year, a fire has damaged hundreds of headstones at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Officials say they were called to a report of a grass fire Sunday morning and arrived to find heavy smoke. Despite firefighters' efforts, about 500 headstones were damaged.
