NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Nashville had already been named the "It city" and a "must see" place on several travel lists.

Now the Music City has been named one of the most fashion-forward cities in the country.

The blog Fashion Up Events looked at economic research and labor statistics.

The rankings are based on the number of designers in a city and hourly wages.

Nashville is fourth on the list ahead of San Francisco, which is number five.

The Music City was recognized for having 282 fashion designers making $30 an hour.

Columbus, OH, was third on the list, noted for big companies like Limited Brands and Abercrombie and Fitch, which have headquarters there.

New York City was first on the list followed by Los Angeles.
