Winter weather advisory issued for part of Middle Tennessee

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for some counties in the Cumberland Plateau.

The advisory lasts until 6 p.m. Wednesday for Cumberland, Fentress, Grundy, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Van Buren, Warren and White counties.

The counties under the advisory could see about 1 inch of snow.

Other portions of Middle Tennessee could see some light flurries throughout the day.

Temperatures in Nashville are expected to stay in the 30s for most of the day.
