TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The couple accused of holding three sisters captive in a midtown home are expected back in Superior Court today.

They will make their appearance at 9 a.m., for a status conference – a chance for the attorneys and the judge to lay out the current status of the case.

It is possible at this status meeting that the judge could also set a timeline for the trial.

Both Sophia and Fernando Richter were arrested in November, at their home near Glenn and Stone; Tucson Police state the couple allegedly kept three sisters in isolation and confinement for up to two years.  Currently the three girls are in the custody of the state, but they are living together.

At a court appearance in December the Richters, facing charges of kidnapping and child abuse, entered not guilty pleas.

Fernando Richter faces a separate charge of assault on a correction officer, stemming from an incident earlier in December.
