Shooting suspect arrested in Hermitage

A South Nashville shooting suspect was arrested in Hermitage after Metro police officers spotted him hiding in a car.

Johnny Vinson, 63, was taken into custody on attempted murder and aggravated assault charges.

Vinson his accused of shooting his estranged wife, Angel Pack, outside the Sam's Club on Antioch Pike on Saturday.

According to police, the couple is in the final stages of a divorce.

At the time of the shooting, Vinson was free on $20,000 bond.

In December, he was charged with aggravated assault against Pack and a protection order violation.

Vinson was convicted of domestic assault against pack in 2011, according to police.

Pack, 46, is expected to recover from her gunshot wounds.
