TEMPE, AZ (CBS5) -

A water leak damaged the Arizona State University electrical system Friday morning, causing a power outage across the Tempe campus.

Sharon Keeler of ASU said the damage at the central plant affected 20 percent to 30 percent of the buildings.

She said the power outage was reported about 7 a.m. and was restored about 10 a.m.

A university spokesperson said it is still working on the estimated cost of the water damage.

The university is still on winter break and classes don't resume until Monday.
