Officials say the driver of an armored truck that crashed on I-24 Wednesday died as a result of a medical condition and not from injuries sustained in the crash.

The crash happened just before 3 p.m. near mile marker 92 outside Oak Grove, KY.

Officials say 29-year-old Andrew Arnold of Clarksville was driving eastbound in a 2008 International Loomis armored truck when it overturned, crossing both eastbound lanes and coming to a stop upright in the median.

Arnold was pronounced dead at the scene by the Christian County coroner.

His passenger, 38-year-old Robert Damer of Chapsmansboro, was taken by Air Evac to TriStar Skyline Medical Center. Officials do not know if Damer was wearing a seat belt.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
