A man reported missing in Murfreesboro Tuesday night has been found safely in Lexington, KY.
Jerry Scott, 72, was found on the side of a road in Lexington, where he had apparently run out of gas. He was being taken to a hospital as a precaution.
Scott was last seen about 4:30 p.m., possibly on his way to the post office, police said, and he never returned home.
Scott has dementia and suffers from depression, police said.
Scott was formerly a circuit court judge in southern Middle Tennessee and was appointed to the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals in 1979. He served until 1995, when he retired and returned to private practice.
