NASHVILLE, TN (RNN) – The Vanderbilt Commodores fell to the Saint Louis Billikens 57-49 Monday night.

The loss pushed the Commodores to 7-4 and ended a three-game winning streak.

The Billikens (12-2) pounced on the Commodores early, once holding an 11-5 lead, but the Commodores took over and led going into halftime 27-21.

By the middle of the second half, however, the Billikens surged as Commodore miscues filled the final minutes of the game.

Center Damian Jones was the Commodores' leading scorer with 12 points and snatched five rebounds. No other Vanderbilt player scored in double digits.

Vanderbilt outrebounded the Billikens 39 to 32, and were better at the foul line, completing 72.7 percent of its shots compared to the Billikens' 66.7 percent. But the Commodores shot a dismal 19-of-56 from the floor and only made three-of-17 of their shots from downtown.

The Commodores will play the Northeastern Huskies at home on Saturday, Jan. 7 at 7 p.m. ET.
