Aimee Fortney's Candy Bark

Posted: Updated:

It's hard to believe that Santa will be here tomorrow night! This is a very fun, very easy way to make some treats for Santa. Joining me in the kitchen are sweet friends, Lulu and Delaney West!

  • 2 bags of semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup crushed Oreos
  • 1 cup chopped candy bars (optional)
  • 1 cup mint chocolate chips
  • 2 cups red and green M&M's
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • Sprinkles of any and all colors
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (optional)

In a glass or metal bowl that fits over your small pot, place the chocolate chips inside. Fill your pot half full of water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer, then place the bowl of chocolate chips on top. Stir the chips when they begin to melt, until the chocolate is smooth.

Remove the bowl from the water and set aside (and turn off the heat). Spread parchment paper on your cookie sheet. Using a spatula, pour all of the melted chocolate onto the parchment-lined cookie sheet. While the chocolate is still warm, place all of the candy toppings and sprinkles on top.

Allow to set up at room temperature or place in the refrigerator. Once set, break into pieces and leave on a plate for Santa or place in goodie bags to give away!

Merry Christmas from Not the Perfect Cook and Lulu and Delaney West!
