Christmas came early at Fort Campbell, as dozens of soldiers with the 4th Brigade Combat Team of the 101st Airborne Division returned Tuesday from Afghanistan.
Family and friends gathered in the cold to welcome home 140 soldiers after a six-month deployment.
One soldier got to hold his little girl for the first time, and now they all have plenty of time for bonding. This will be the last deployment for this Currahee team, which becomes inactive next year as part of a restructuring plan by the U.S. Army.
