Human remains found at state park identified

CROSSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The human skeletal remains found in October by Boy Scouts at Cumberland Mountain State Park have been identified.

The remains belong to a Florida man who had been missing for about seven years.

The Crossville Chronicle reports that an electronic organizer was found at the state park. Investigators were able to get a name and address from the PDA, which led them to Crestview, FL.

A DNA test was performed on the son of the missing person and a sample was sent to the Center for Forensic Medicine in Nashville.

The test came back with a near perfect match for a man named Dalburn Franklin.
