SPRINGFIELD, TN (WSMV) -

The search is on for two suspects who police say shot a man in Springfield on Wednesday night.

Smokey Barn News sent Channel 4 video from the scene on Westgate Drive in the Westgate Apartments parking lot.

Police say the victim, 27-year-old Narciso Carrera, was shot in the upper chest, lower throat area with a small-caliber handgun around 7:30 p.m.

Carrera was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. There is no word on his condition.

Carrera described the suspects as two males dressed in black and gray hooded jackets. He says the men left the scene on foot.
