CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A dad is shot while waiting to pick up his child at a school on Cleveland's east side.

The shooting happened on Monday around 3:30 p.m. at the Citizens Academy School at 10118 Hampden Avenue. The victim and his wife were waiting in the car line for the students to be dismissed.

The suspect was wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans and a black knit cap with rhinestones on it.   He had a grey/black semi-automatic handgun.
