Among the handful of new Christmas albums available this year is the first holiday effort by UK X Factor winner Leona Lewis.
Christmas, With Love, which dropped Tuesday, features One More Sleep, a catchy tune that can only be described as sleigh bells meets Motown.
"It's basically about waiting for someone special to come home," Lewis said in a behind-the-scenes video.
Count down the hours with Lewis in her new video for One More Sleep, now available on YouTube.
A cappella Awesome
We're not entirely sure how you effectively cover Little Drummer Boy without, you know, drums.
But Pentatonix produced an a cappella cover of the Christmas favorite - with nothing but their mouths to serve as the bass and snare. (And the singing isn't bad either).
Seven million viewers on YouTube can't be wrong. To quote one of them "This could make even Grumpy Cat smile."
Mix it up with this awesome holiday sampler
If you're looking for the perfect combination of old and new Christmas music, Paste has compiled a holiday sampler that does just that ... and it's completely free.
Whether you're looking for something slow and original like Sufjan Stevens' Christmas in the Room or a classic jam like Otis Redding's Merry Christmas Baby, you really can't go wrong with this mix.
So head on over to Noisetrade and check it out while you prepare for the merriest holiday of the year.
Billy Joel playing Madison Square Garden every month (for a very long time)
Already tired of reading about Christmas music? Here's some big non-Christmas news: Madison Square Garden finally has its first non-athletic franchise ... the one and only Billy Joel.
On Tuesday Joel joined New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to announce that not only will he be playing one show a month for the first five months of 2014, he will continue to play one show a month in Madison Square Garden as long as there is demand from his fans.
The franchise is called Billy Joel at the Garden and will begin on Jan. 27, 2014. The first four shows are already sold out.
Considering the newly announced shows have already started selling out, Joel might be playing once a month for the rest of his life. But hey, if he doesn't mind, you won't hear any complaints from us.
"Performing at Madison Square Garden is a thrilling experience. I've played different venues all over the world, but there's no place like coming home to The Garden," Joel wrote on his website. "Since my first show in 1978, I've always looked forward to the energy of the crowd. I'm honored to be joining the Madison Square Garden family and look forward to taking the stage of the newly transformed Garden to create many more memorable nights."
