The storm system that brought us 2-4 inches of rain yesterday is heading out to sea. Winds will gradually die through tonight and skies will completely clear off. Cold air will still be moving down from the north in the upper atmosphereand that will re-enforce the cold air. So expect the lows to drop into the low 20 all across the area in the cities and teens in the outlying areas.
Thanksgiving Day will be sunnyand it will be cold. The normal highs are in the mid to upper 50's and we will not even be close. I am expecting highs near 44 in the cities and in the upper 30's on the ridges. Winds will be light so there will be no wind chill to speak of. Black Friday will also be sunny and a bit warmer, too. Highs will be near 52, but the morning lows will be in the mid 20's. So if you are heading out in the early morning to do some shopping, bundle up. But once again there will be no wind.
This weekend will sunny to partly sunny. Lows will average near 30 and highs will climb into the mid 50's.
Next week will be mild with highs in the 50's and lows in the 30's. There is a chance we may see some light rain on Monday and again next Wednesday.
Traveling tonight will be fine in our neck of the woods, but check with the airlines for traveling to the northeast.
