Blessen Arnold, a Dalton third grader is headed to Disney World, and her schoolmates helped send her off in style.
At City Park Elementary students, teachers and faculty dressed in Disney costumes to help her celebrate her new adventure.
Kidd's Kids of the Kidd Kraddick foundation chose Blessen and her family as one of the recipients to send to Disney World.
Born with Spina Bifida, Blessen uses a wheelchair to get around. But that hasn't stopped her. Blessen's teachers say she is an amazing person with a will to beat the odds. She always has a smile on her face.
Blessen lives with her grandmother and older sister, who is a junior at Morris Innovative High School.
In July of last year, Blessen's grandmother and Jaclyn Wilson, her 2nd grade teacher at the time began the process of gathering all the paperwork to submit to Kidd's Kids.
The Kidd Kraddick foundation sponsors families each year to attend an all expense paid 5-day trip to Disney.
