Surveillance video shows break-in at Columbia pharmacy

Posted: Updated:
COLUMBIA, TN (WSMV) -

Surveillance video shows burglars storming a Mid-state pharmacy for drugs on Monday.

The front door, which was made of laminated security glass, did not stop the men from getting inside Fisher Pharmacy. Video shows them using a sledgehammer to eventually peel it down and climb in.

The men grabbed about 700 hydrocodone tablets, which are prescription pain pills.

The Columbia Daily Herald says the burglars also took blood pressure medicine, which leads police to believe the men may not have known where they were going once they got inside the store.

The pharmacy is equipped with 18 surveillance cameras, but it's still hard to make out what the men look like.
