Nick Pellegrino's Bourbon Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

Bourbon Cranberry Sauce

16 oz fresh cranberries

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp Ground Cinnamon

1 tablespoon Bourbon or Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey 

 Preheat over to 350 degrees. Wash cranberries in cold water then place in a 9 inch round pie pan or any oven proof casserole dish with sides at least 2 inches high. Pour sugar over cranberries then sprinkle cinnamon on top. Cover tightly with aluminum foil. Cook for 45 minutes or till cranberries are blistering and sugar is completely melted. Remove foil from top and pour bourbon into cranberry mixture. Stir in to distribute evenly. Cool and refrigerate. Will last several weeks in the fridge. Place in decorative jars and give as Christmas gifts!
