UPDATE: Dade Co. family loses everything in house fire

DADE COUNTY, GA (WRCB) -

UPDATE: A family in Dade County is without a home after their house went up in flames Saturday afternoon around 12:30.

The fire happened in the New Salem Community on 13775 Highway 136. No one was at the home during the time of the fire but a passerby saw that the house was on fire and called 911.

It took firefighters several hours to put out the fire. Right now there is no word on the cause of fire.


PREVIOUS STORY: Channel 3 has learned that the New Salem Fire Department responded to large home fire in West Brow on 13775 Highway 136 around 12:30 Saturday afternoon.

The fire is under control, but there is no information on injuries or damages.
