NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police are investigating two violent robberies that happened overnight in Nashville.

The first happened at the St. George Market on Murfreesboro Pike when four masked gunmen entered the store, forced employees and a customer on the ground and demanded their personal belongings. The gunmen fled with the cash register.

The second robbery happened when a group of robbers pistol-whipped a Pizza Hut employee on Clarksville Pike and stole his cash before firing shots at several people.

The victim told police he'd just closed the shop and was talking to other employees outside the store when the gunmen attacked. No one was hurt.

No suspects have been named in either case.
