Roane lay minister, son indicted on sex crimes

KINGSTON — Sexually abused on an almost daily basis by a father and his son, two sisters devised a plan to show proof of those crimes, a police investigator said.

The girls last summer secretly filmed the father sexually molesting the younger sister and then gave the film to leaders of their Harriman church the next day, Kingston Police Department Investigator Sam Bolden said.

"They wanted to be sure somebody would believe them," Bolden said.

The film and ensuing investigation resulted in multiple charges being filed against George William Miles Sr., 72, of Kingston, and his 49-year-old son, Harriman resident George William Miles Jr.
