A man suspected of exposing himself on at least three recent occasions has been arrested at a home in La Vergne.
Police say 31-year-old Mario Frederick confronted young women who were getting into or out of their vehicles and exposed himself from the waist down and performed a sexual act.
The alleged incidents happened at the Kroger and Walgreens on West Sam Ridley and the Kmart on North Lowry Street.
Police say Frederick is a registered sex offender for committing three or more acts of indecent exposure and also has a federal conviction for indecent exposure for exposing himself to someone at Fort Campbell.
Frederick had been free on bond in Montgomery County after violating the sex offender registry.
The Smyrna Police Department had four arrest warrants for indecent exposure on Frederick.
"He's been known to be bold and brazen towards people. That's why I think he's a danger to our community. We need to do what we can to get him," said Smyrna Police Det. Rick Hall.
Twenty-year-old Taylor Gertschen is one of his latest alleged victims and was with her 2-year-old child at the time.
"I didn't say anything. I mean, I was speechless, you know. I was so taken back by it. I don't even know how I didn't hit anybody reversing, honestly," Gertschen said.
