The winner of season four of NBC's hit singing competition The Voice is now in Nashville, working on a new album and reflecting on the musical journey she is only beginning.

Danielle Bradberry is a big-voiced 17-year-old from Houston. She's also wise beyond her years and was signing autographs Tuesday near her Music Row recording studio, where she's hard at work these days.

Bradberry makes it look easy, but she knows the business can be tough.

"I've had those times where I'm just like, I can't look at food, I can't talk to anybody, I just need to be in my zone and kind of think about, 'OK, I'm gonna go do this and I'm gonna do it like this. And I'm going to try and do it perfect.' And I just kind of zone everybody out," Bradberry said.

Her singing ability is impressive, and yet she's just a teenager taking on the music business before even getting out of high school.

"Before The Voice and this whole process, I was one of those teenagers just going to school and just doing normal stuff like hanging out with my friends and trying to find somewhere to sit at lunch," she said. "It's so weird, because I remember that like it was yesterday, and then I think, 'Wow, I've just been put in this whole other world.'"

For the contestants on The Voice, making it through the maze of competition is a huge accomplishment. While Bradberry has higher goals, she is staying grounded.

"I'm still 17. I still have friends that are in high school, and I think that's what is keeping me grounded. And I'm staying in the moment where I don't have to grow up too fast," Bradberry said. "I'm still 17. I still have chores like all the other kids, and I'm still normal."
