Police say they had to use tear gas to get a suspect out of a home in Springfield.
Springfield patrol officers, detectives and SWAT officers along with the TBI found 21-year-old Tevin Harris at a home on the 400 block of Grace Street after receiving a tip.
They got to the home after midnight on Tuesday and sealed off the house. They say Harris would not surrender to officers on scene, so tear gas was used.
Harris eventually came outside and was taken into custody around 12:40 a.m. He was booked into the Robertson County Jail.
Harris is accused of shooting and killing Thomas Davis Sunday night on Leota Street.
Witnesses told police the men were fighting over a tattoo when Harris allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot Davis.
Police are asking you to come forward if you have any information about the murder.
