Wine and books are on the agenda for this weekend.
Book lovers should check out the Southern Festival of Books beginning Friday at the Legislative Plaza.
Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam, former Vice President Al Gore and dozens of other authors are scheduled to attend.
The Southern Festival of Books runs Friday through Sunday at Legislative Plaza and the Nashville Public Library. The event runs from noon to 6 p.m. on Friday and Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
If books aren't your thing, you might prefer the Franklin Wine Festival.
There will be 300 wines and food from area restaurants on Friday at The Factory in Franklin.
The event goes from 7 to 9 p.m., and tickets are $100 at the door.
Proceeds from the wine festival will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee.
