CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WRCB-DT) - When you head to the gym, you are usually thinking about getting your work-out on, pumping or running away the troubles of the day, and achieving that high that comes with the rush of endorphins. What you may not be thinking about is making sure your personal property is locked away. Our victim is this week's case, entered Rush Fitness on Lee Highway. Chattanooga Police Sgt. Daniel Jones picks up the story. "They went in and, unfortunately, they left one of their bags unsecured," he said.

Soon thereafter, our suspect can be seen on Rush surveillance video. "Some of the witness actually said they noticed this guy walking around," Sgt. Jones said. "He's gonna be a white male in his 30s, he's definitely gonna have somewhat of a scratchy beard. At least, that's their account of the way he looked."

He apparently went about digging through our victim's bag and came up with pay dirt: car keys. "Once he got the car keys," added Jones, "he went outside and stole this 2003 tan Ford Taurus."

The distinguishing characteristic of the tan Taurus we are seeking is an Obama for President decal on the back bumper.

The bad guy committed this crime so easily; get him behind bars before he can pull the same stunt again. "Who's to say they won't do it to someone else's bag," Jones said, "or someone else's purse, or anything?"

And, as always in Crime Stoppers, there is incentive to do the right thing. "Any information that would lead to an arrest could get you up to a thousand dollars in cash," said Jones.

If you know anything about the criminal, the car, or the crime itself, call Crime Stoppers today: 698-3333

Remember: a police officer may answer the phone or return your call, but he will never ask your identity.
