Baseball coach accused of being married to 2 women in different counties

SUMNER COUNTY, TN (WSMV) -

A Midstate baseball coach is accused of being married to two women at the same time.

The Tennessean is reporting that Mike Crossland is being charged with bigamy.

He allegedly married a woman in Lincoln County while he was married to a woman in Sumner County.

Crossland is the head coach of the Volunteer State Community College baseball team.

The college released the following statement about the situation:

"We're aware of the situation with Michael Crossland. The College is monitoring it and we will take appropriate action, if that is necessary. At this time, Crossland remains on the job."
