CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- A huge win over rival McCallie provided a boost in confidence and a bump in the rankings for Baylor, but a brutal closing stretch to the season will continue to put both to the test.

The Red Raiders (5-1) moved up to No. 2 in Division II in the latest Tennessee Associated Press prep poll, and will now face four straight top-seven opponents to close out the year in No. 2 Oakland (6-0), No. 1 Ensworth (6-0), No. 6 Brentwood Academy (4-3) and No. 7 Father Ryan (4-2).

McCallie (3-4) dropped to No. 9 after its fourth straight loss, all of which have come against teams ranked in the top five of their respective classifications (Siegel, Bowling Green, Ensworth and Baylor).

South Pittsburg (5-1) remains No. 2 in Class 1A after a bye week. The Pirates will also be tested this week with a trip to Boyd-Buchanan.

The Chattanooga area's strength remains in Class 5A, where Ooltewah, East Hamilton and Cleveland are still in the top ten. The third-ranked Owls (5-1) jumped ahead of the fourth-ranked Hurricanes this week for the first time this season after holding off Bradley Central. Cleveland dropped two spots to No. 9 after a 21-20 loss on the road to East Hamilton.

Rhea County (5-1) is also close to breaking into the rankings. The Golden Eagles are the first team outside the top ten after routing Cookeville last week.

Signal Mountain held at No. 10 in Class 4A after outlasting Notre Dame 20-13. The Irish dropped five spots to No. 10 in the latest 3A poll. Polk County is also ranked in 3A, holding at the No. 7 spot.
