Thousands gather for 22nd Annual AIDS Walk/Run

Posted: Updated:

Thousands gathered for the 22nd Annual Nashville AIDS Walk and Run 5K on Saturday morning.

Event organizers expected over 2,500 participants to raise over $230,000.

In addition to raising money for AIDS research, organizers hope the annual event draws awareness to the impact of HIV and AIDS in the local community.

Multi platinum recording artist Tiffany performed at Riverfront Park in support of the event.

During her career, Tiffany sold over 16 million records and is perhaps best known for her single, "I Think We're Alone Now."
